Overview
In this role you lead a global Workday HCM support function within the WPP People team, delivering high-quality incident management, release planning, and continuous improvement. You will oversee a team of Workday specialists and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure consistent delivery across regions. You will translate technical changes into clear communications and drive user enablement and governance in a large transformation program.

- Lead incident management for system issues with timely assessment, escalation, and resolution
- Communicate incident status, business impact, actions, and next steps to stakeholders
- Support post-incident reviews and root-cause analysis to improve release quality and reliability
- Plan and coordinate monthly local changes and bi-annual global releases aligned to business needs
- Manage end-to-end release lifecycle: planning, readiness, risk, stakeholder alignment and post-release reviews
- Balance regional and global priorities through cross-region prioritisation of changes
- Maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and provide clear release updates
- Coordinate across regional, global, technical, and business teams to align delivery plans
- Own release communications to be clear, timely, and audience-appropriate
- Lead and coordinate training and enablement for new functionality and user readiness
- Identify opportunities to improve user engagement with the system through better guidance and training
- Drive continuous improvement across release management, communications, training, and incident response processes
- Strong experience in support service delivery, release planning, and change coordination in a tech environment
- Experience managing senior stakeholders and working across cross-functional and regional teams
- Experience in incident management including coordination, escalation, and follow-up actions
- Strong judgement in prioritisation and decision support amid competing requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience designing or delivering training to support change adoption
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
