Overview

In this role, you lead the global data strategy for the Workday HCM program, shaping data governance, quality, and migration across a large-scale transformation. You will partner with Enterprise Technology, People Teams, and third-party partners to enable consistent, data-driven decision making and scalable change. Your work directly supports unified processes, governance, and better insights across WPP. This is a chance to influence how people data powers a major modernization effort and AI-enabled platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Own and drive the Workday HCM program data activities end-to-end
  • Establish governance structures aligned with business objectives
  • Partner with the Enterprise Data team on data ownership and stewardship
  • Own data extraction and quality for People Technology programs
  • Define and implement a reusable delivery and maintenance model for tools and processes
  • Lead and mentor the data transformation team, focusing on data conversion and high-risk areas
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and optimize People Data processes
  • Address data management and reporting root causes and align with JA (Payroll, CareerPathways, etc)
  • Work with Enterprise Technology to deliver data solutions and ensure data integrity and security
  • Participate in Data Migration RFPs and related bidding activities
  • Align People Data with Job Architecture and enhance reporting on key attributes
  • Support change and adoption strategies for end users
Key requirements
  • Proven leadership in HR transformation and large-scale data solutions
  • Strong experience with data conversion and end-user communication
  • Hands-on, strategic thinker with managerial and execution skills
  • Ability to build relationships across Operating Companies
  • Expertise in data management and reporting technologies
  • Creative problem-solving across fragmented legacy systems
  • Preferred Workday HCM experience
  • Knowledge of data governance best practices
  • Proficiency in business process design and improvement
  • Cultural awareness and commitment to diversity
  • Transformation management knowledge; PROSCI or similar certifications preferred
  • Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills
