Workday Reporting Principal Consultant - AMS (Application Managed Services)

As a Workday Reporting Principal Consultant, you lead delivering and improving reporting solutions for AMS clients. You provide strategic guidance, design and optimize reports, dashboards, and analytics, and mentor teams while ensuring governance and risk management. You work closely with stakeholders to translate needs into scalable insights and support post-production and release activities. This role combines deep technical expertise with client leadership to maximise the value of the Workday investment at scale.

• Serve as a Workday Reporting and Analytics expert across AMS clients
• Lead design, enhancement, and optimization of reports, dashboards, and analytics
• Support day-to-day AMS activities including incidents, requests, and escalation management
• Develop complex Workday reporting solutions using Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Matrix/Composite Reports, Dashboards, Discovery Boards and BIRT
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable solutions
• Provide leadership on complex reporting initiatives, managing decisions, risks, and dependencies
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve reporting, security, and data issues
• Support customers through Workday releases and assess reporting impacts
• Advise clients on reporting strategy, governance, and self-service capabilities
• Support data extraction, validation, security, migrations, and configuration
• Mentor consultants and analysts, providing coaching and functional leadership
• Contribute to internal assets, accelerators, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and service optimisation
• Participate in on-call support and holiday coverage as required

• 5+ years of Workday Reporting and Analytics experience
• Experience with Workday reporting tools (Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Matrix Reports, Composite Reports, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, BIRT)
• Experience in Workday HCM and/or Workday Financials reporting
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Active Workday Reporting Certification preferred
• Additional certifications in HCM, Financials, Prism Analytics, or Reporting & Analytics desirable
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong consulting, stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills
• Ability to mentor team members and provide multi-engagement leadership
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Eligible for UK SC Clearance and able to travel on-site as needed
